They grow up too fast…

How many times have new parents been told, “take lots of pictures – they grow up too fast!”

It may be hard to see the future when your days are filled with feedings and diaper changes and running all over the place keeping up with the kids  - not to mention your nights;  SLEEPLESS.  But try to make some time to snap those memories.  Better yet, call me.  You’ll be so happy that you captured each one of thier stages.  These parents told me that they can’t believe how much thier babies have changed…already.

Don’t be afraid of clouds at the beach

Dirty Much?

Wasn’t getting dirty as a kid fun? I used to make mud pies in the backyard when I was 4 for my mother. We were living in British Columbia at the time and during the soggy months, I’d make them in a plastic container and then ring the doorbell and deliver them to her; she was my customer. Well, depending on the career that you choose, things might not change much. When I come back from a location photo session, if I’m not dirty (or wet) then I may have missed something.

Especially when you photograph kids – get down to their level. Don’t be afraid to get dirty or grass stained or wet. If you do, you’ll have a better chance of getting a shot that captures them, because it matches their vantage point of the world.

NBC San Diego Appearance
